We believe a healthy mind is the key to achieving well-being in all parts of yourself. We also believe that the more people we can help achieve these holistic levels of well-being, the kinder, wiser, and more compassionate our world will become. So using neuroscientific research as our guide, we design and develop tools that can help people build these skills.
True well-being is a skill that can be developed with practice. Our four-pillared program will help you understand the connections between what's happening inside your brain and how you're interacting with the world around you–with results ranging from increased focus to decreased stress and higher levels of health and well-being.
As you build up awareness, you’ll begin to notice your thoughts, emotions, and impulses more clearly. This will help you improve your inner balance and truly be present at work and in your relationships.
Cultivating qualities like appreciation and kindness strengthens your positive connections with other people. This increases your resilience and boosts well-being.
As you get more and more curious about how your mind works, you’ll see how your thoughts and emotions influence the way you see the world. This can help you turn challenges and adversity into opportunities for growth and understanding.
Purpose involves fortifying your ability to keep your most deeply held values front and center in your life, relationships, and at work. A sense of purpose is what helps you see the bigger picture–and stay genuinely motivated.
We’re a nonprofit founded on the work of world-renowned neuroscientist Dr. Richard Davidson and affiliated with the Center for Healthy Minds at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Among his many “firsts” in neuroscience, Dr. Davidson and his team showed how simple meditation practice improved the functioning of the human immune system.
Dr. Davidson’s breakthrough research has proven that with the right science, tools, and effort, we can train our minds to improve our own lives, as well as the lives of those around us. This is the core of Healthy Minds Innovations.
Our seated practices can be completed while sitting in a more traditional, calm, and quiet environment.
We know life keeps you busy, so we also offer guided practices that can be completed in busier, on-the-move settings.
Our Healthy Minds Report will allow you to measure and track your levels of well-being over time with simple scientific tools.
All of our tools use this neuroscience-based framework, helping you build healthy habits as you work through the four pillars of well-being.
Train your mind to be more focused, calm, and resilient with easy-to-complete lessons and guided meditations that only take minutes a day.
